Noynoy Aquino Will Make Bongbong Marcos President

Heaven forbid!

But that’s how and where the political climate in the Philippines is leading given Noynoy Aquino’s penchant for noynoying – vindictive approach of governance, feeling number one hunk of the Philippines through his noynoying of ladies he fancy, active lobbying against people who do not give him what he wants, noynoying (partying) with friends despite the country’s calamities, noynoying for expensive toys from Congress (heard of that bullet proof car?), noynoying (appointing) to government positions friends and classmates from the past…

All these make BongBong Marcos look better, way up better than the current President, only son of media-hyped saint Cory Aquino and Ninoy Aquino. In fairness to the man (and I mean BongBong Marcos), he had been conducting himself fairly in the Senate. He is neither timid nor loud. He speaks with calm and intelligence. He does not appear to be hungering for publicity. And he has his family’s machinery to put him in the front line in the next presidential election.

But despite his (Marcos) personal qualifications and achievements, no more Marcos in the Presidency, please. His claim to the Marcos family name has given him so much already… let him take the downside of it, too.

However, the current state of politics in the Philippines – led by a bratty President – and the kind of President that he is – so falsely represented by the media and the Yellow fanatics – make the Marcos son look more and more level-headed and seemingly qualified.

Heaven forbid!

No thanks Yellows!

A Special Bag from the AIDA Community

A friend, together with her kids, was here for a visit 3 weekends ago. Her kids and mine played the whole afternoon giving us the chance to chat and cook and bake:-).

She brought an unexpected gift:

What makes this bag special is the fact that it was sewn by Asian women-members of the Aida Community in Incheon. This bag, along with their other products, was made in the Center’s Sodam Bang. The website is not updated but members are actively producing bags and other crafts there.

This is a good gift idea. If you want to check or order bags from the center, you may call this number: 032.527.0090.

Damage Control

The damage control team of Malacanang had been very busy after the “NOYNOYING” term came out yesterday.

As if everyone is not aware of Noynoy Aquino’s busy life of noynoying pretty girls – they change every season – and his noynoying obsession over PGMA and CJ Corona, the damage control team has to cheaply come up with “busy” pictures of the President.

Of course, both pictures above were published in the Aquino family’s newspapers, the PDI and the ABS-CBN online site. And, of course, it has to be as commercialized as it can be… with the PDI newspaper glaringly displayed on the President’s table.

Really, it’s such a blessing that the impeachment trial is televised. Those who have television and internet connection have direct access to the proceedings and can clearly see how things are done, rather than just being dependent on the very biased media that the Philippines currently has. Well, Hacienda Luisita is not a cheap property. It goes to follow that it can afford anyone and everyone who are willing to be bought.

Yellows doomed the Philippines!

Because his priority lies on his love life and on his vindictiveness…

More fun in the Philippines, eh?

Mango Mania in Korea

Rina, the winner of Hubby’s Birthday giveaway is the lady behind Mango Mania here in Korea!

You would love the sight and smell of these:

Hubby had a mango-filled birthday. Too bad I wasn’t able to take pictures of the home-made ice cream, mango float and fruit salad (with mangoes, of course). The home-made mango ice cream was a big hit with Rina’s son:-).

For those living in Korea, we know how expensive mangoes here are. Buying through the Mango Mania website would be a better and cheaper alternative.  Please check out the rates at the website. You can also send a message (no calls, please) to 019-506-7250.

Stove Top Siphon Coffee-Maker

We had this addition to our growing coffee-makers collection weeks ago but I just realized I haven’t blogged about this:-).

This is a stove-top siphon coffee maker. This is different from the Hario Syphon coffee maker we first had. Unlike the first one where we watched the water boil and the coffee go down from the upper chamber of the vacuum pot, this one has to be done on top of the stove. The concept is much the same since they are both vacuum coffee pots.  But this one’s faster and can make up to 8 cups of coffee.

This is a pretty good choice especially when we have guests over.

Personally though, I’m still partial to our first syphon coffee pot. I love watching the whole process while we are enjoying our breakfast amidst the noise that our two boys make:-).

New Love: Hanyul Skin Care Set

Look what I got!

Love it! Love it! Love it!

When I first got the eye cream from Hanyul I thought I would be bothered by the ginseng smell. You see, Hanyul is an oriental skin care brand. Then I got the above gift set which includes a toner, an emulsion, a serum and a facial cream. It’ the complete package. Then I still have the eye cream. I am a Hanyul user! And I love it! Do I need to say that I love it again? hahaha…

Hanyul is from Amore Pacific, the same company responsible for Iope and Laneige. You’ve got to love this company. It gives the best skin care products.
