I would like to think that these empty hangers give me the license to fill them up…. Shopping time!
But however tempting that thought is, reality bites! The hangers are empty on the other side of the closet because the suitcase is full again!
It’s not everyday that my husband’s boss talks to me… during a family vacation – to assure me that my husband is doing very well in global business… and that I have to hang in there as he needs to do more! And I haven’t heard of a subsidiary President wanting to talk to me from across the Pacific Ocean just so that my husband can go back to doing another round of business trips… That doesn’t happen to everyone! But if that is proof of how good my husband is in his work, then I concede:-) I’m sad… but, as always, I’d like to see the brighter side.
And so, we just try to enjoy those rare lunch dates… sans the kids. Just us.
Some nights are extra special than the others because we make them so… we bring out the wine, with all its accessories.
We make mealtimes as pleasant as it can possibly be and as appealing as it could be – without regard to the need to diet:-(…
Ironic as it may seem, the “specialness” of each day spent together is magnified a hundred times knowing that at any time, work will bring us miles and miles apart again. Some days are short… some days are just too long.
Ahhhh… cheesy! It’s a cheesy morning so I’ve got to stop writing!
