One of the things I needed to do during my stay in Manila was to check/confirm our condominium ownership at the Registry of Deeds in Mandaluyong. There was nothing wrong with it. In fact, we have the certificate of title with us. I just wanted to make sure since we got a clean title even though we have mortgaged the property with a bank when we had it financed through bank financing. Anyway, a clean title is good for us.
What isn’t good is the state of the government office I went to. This is the Registry of Deeds of Mandaluyong along Boni Avenue. I find it in a sorry state:-(.
Anyway, I requested for a copy of the title and the Deed of Sale. It took a few seconds for the certificate of title to appear. But I was told that I can get a certified true copy after 3 days. I rested my case.
There was no point in going back to pick up a document which I have an original copy of. I really had no need for it but I just found it frustrating that it would take that long to request for one.
