Christmas is a very big and long celebration in the Philippines. This is what most of us Pinoys here in South Korea misses.
This year, we have to thank the Pinoy Iskolars ng Bayan through their organization, PIKO, for bringing the spirit over by sponsoring a “Himig Pasko Tinig Pinoy” event on December 4, 2011.
This event is open to all the Filipinos here in South Korea. For more information, here are the requirements to qualify:
A Filipino or Dual-Filipino Citizen
Filled-out Application Form
Registration Fee of 25 Raffle Tickets per contestant – considered sold (due on or before November 24th, 2011 – tickets will serve as the official entry pass)
Maximum of 2 representatives/contestants per organization

All songs/music pieces should be CHRISTMAS OPM – Original Philippine Music (English/Tagalog)
Music Accompaniment depends on the contestants’ concept and style.
No age limit.
Winners of the event will receive the following prizes:
- First Prize Winner will receive a plaque and a cash prize of 1,000,000krw (tax free)
- Second Prize winner, a plaque and a cash prize of 500,000krw (tax free)
- Third Prize Winner, a plaque and a cash prize of 250,000krw (tax free)
- Special awards will be given – Best Concept and People’s Choice
