Free Shells Amidst the Luxury that Defines Dubai

The first time hubby went to Dubai a few years ago, he brought home shells he picked up along the Palm Jumeirah artificial shore. They were accommodated on a villa in Palm Jumeirah during their short business trip there. Despite his busy schedule whenever he is on a business trip, he seldom misses hitting the [...]

Just a Keepsake from Saudi

Hubby is currently in Riyadh. He has been going back and forth to the Middle East for several months now. As he always does, he brings home tokens for our collection. He prefers metal plates but if he doesn’t find any, he settles for something that would aptly symbolize the place. This miniature camel was actually a [...]

Joy from my Boy

Today as we were going out I asked my Firstborn:  ”Does Mommy look good?” He answered: “You don’t look good, Mommy. You look pretty.”   How’s that for my ego-booster?

Soft, Delicious Possam

Possam is one Korean dish I love! The steamed pork is soft and delicious. Wrap it with kimchi and you got a perfect combination to make you crave for more. The first time I ate this dish was on a night out with Korean girl friends. Trust the natives to introduce the bests of Korea:-).

How Do I Get Things Done?

For moms in countries where a nanny is a rarity, I am sure we all have stories to share on how we cope up with household chores and taking care of our kids. This is how I get things done: Kids (usually my Firstborn has the say) choose whether they watch TV or play computer [...]

Pre-School Going Organic

Two months ago, my son’s pre-school sent a survey whether parents would prefer organic food for the kids. We will add 35,000-won every month if we choose for organic food to be served. I chose no for the following reason: We have no way of verifying whether these foods are really organic. Even supermarket “organic [...]
