A Dark Seoul Afternoon

This was Seoul today. This wasn’t at night. This was not even early night time. This was at 3 o’clock in the afternoon. It was dark. It was raining. There wasn’t much to do. I’m glad I have my sons. I’m glad I had friends in the house:-).

How Important Is Efficiency for a Growing Child?

While waiting for my son’s school bus this morning, a Korean Super Mom told me about another girl who lives in the same apartment building. She said she’s a stubborn child. Her parents give in to her every whim so their mornings are always difficult. When the girl wants to change her clothes, the parents [...]

The Trick Art Museum in Seoul

I missed the Trick Art Museum in Jeju. It was a conscious decision for hubby and I not to go there as we thought the kids will not enjoy it anyway. We were right! But I did catch the exhibit here in Seoul last Saturday. The Trick Art Exhibit had been ongoing since March 25, 2011 [...]

Comfort From My 4-Year Old

Perhaps I have written about my husband’s travelling a number of times already. But each time I write about it, there is always something to tell because each time he leaves there is always a certain amount of loneliness that I find more and more difficult to conceal from my perceptive 4-year old boy. Though my [...]

Janjan Suan: A Victim Many Times Over

Is it too late to talk about the Janjan Suan controversy? Janjan Suan will always be relevant. Willie Revillame will be a permanent fixture in Philippine television, whether we like it or not. Philippine politics will always be dirty. Noble intentions will always be marred by politics. Amidst all these, we could only hope Janjan [...]

Gift Set for your Man

I got a gift set from the Aritaum store owner where I bought my Laneige products from. I can’t use it since it’s for men. My husband does not use any facial care product aside from eye cream. So, I’m giving it to anyone who cares to drop a message on my comment box below:-). This [...]

Not a Busy Day

I choose today as my “not a busy day”:-). A regular day for me goes like this: sweating in the gym for a 20-30 minutes of cardio, shower, prepare breakfast for my boys, then hubby goes to the office. I am left with the kids for their morning bath before my 4-year old is picked [...]

The Tiger Mom

It is easy to dislike the tiger mom – both the book and the author. Immediately after I watched Amy Chua’s interview in CNN for her book “Battle Hymn of the Tiger Mother”, I raised the extreme parenting method which she seemed to have confidently used in raising her daughters to my husband. Days after, [...]
