Last Saturday’s trip to SM Megall was a reminder to never go to any of Megamall’s Mega Sale again. It was irritatingly over-crowded. After the children’s playtime at Dave’s Funhouse, in-laws and I were eager to go out of Megamall for dinner.
Sister-in-law’s restaurant choice was perfect! She introduced us to Amici, a pizza and pasta place in Greenhills.
While waiting for our food, youngest brother-in-law and his wife eagerly told me that Amici used to be in Don Bosco. It was bought and expanded by Red Ribbon veteran restaurateurs. The management has definitely done well just basing on the number of people eating and waiting for their turn to be seated. We waited for a few minutes before a table was cleared by another group satisfied by their dinner. When we left the place at around 9pm, the queue was still long.
The place caters to pizza and pasta lovers of all ages. Our own group had 4 active kids. I saw several groups with their own childen, too. Lolas (grandmothers) and Lolos (grandfathers) were around as well.
Aside from the pizza and pasta that children love (anyone knows of a child who doesn’t like pizza or pasta?), Amici has its own dessert place adjoining the restaurant called Cara Mia.
Cara Mia offers several variety of gelato. In-laws treated us to several gelato flavors of Sans Rival, Mint with Chocolate, Choco with Nuts and Banana. Yummy!
We went home fully satisfied with our dinner. The children had more than enough energy to still play a little more in the house while the adults were hoping for them to tire very soon for the entire house to have a restful sleep.
