“I love that singing”
Family and friends know I can’t carry a tune. Even a Happy Birthday song is a real struggle for me. That’s how bad it is. But when it comes to my boy, I could sing my heart out. He doesn’t know the difference between good and bad singing, at least that’s what I thought.
There’s this beautiful, sad book book about a mommy’s love for her son titled “Love you Forever”. The mommy’s lullaby goes like this:
“I love you forever
I will like you for always
as long as I’m living
my baby you’ll be.”
It’s really a very touching book. I also love singing that lullaby to him. While we were having lunch yesterday, I played the CD that comes with the book. I sang with the CD when he suddenly said, “Stop singing, mommy.” I stopped singing and smiled at him.
The song played again and I saw that he was listening intently. After the last note, he declared, “I love that singing.”
