Brain Drain?

Whew! I’m down with a mild sore throat. Haven’t been able to have a good sleep for the past days. Sleeping at 4:30 am and another night (day) at 6:30 am.
Father-in-law tasked me to write his Grand Oration for a Mason gathering (ANCOM 2009) next week in Cagayan de Oro, Philippines. He emphasized the importance of the [...]

Gym and Pregnancy

As soon as my pregnancy was confirmed, I immediately settled down and searched for my old exercise routines while I was pregnant with my Little Dynamo. I wasn’t too confident then because it was my first pregnancy. But I regularly did some exercises (thanks to Babyfit.com) and… I had 10 glorious months carrying my baby. Absolutely none of the [...]

Jumping is so Much Fun!

We have always encouraged our Little Dynamo to be always on the go… run around… jump around… release his energy! An active child is a happy child, after all!

The Not-so-Difficult Changes

I first learned of my pregnancy last April 4.  But I had a strong feeling I was pregnant days before that. So, I didn’t run as much as I used to in the treadmill. When before I could run at a level 8 speed non-stop for thirty minutes, I controlled myself to run at 10-15 [...]

Imelda Marcos - Proud to be in “The Greediest of All Time”

I first saw this list from Enquiring Daily Tribune. I searched for the original article from Newsweek and found Imelda Marcos’ image below

opening the gallery (of pictures of the 11 included in the list) because according to Newsweek “her rouged cheeks, jade earrings and blinged-out ring fingers a perfect glimpse into modern materialism“.
Of course, the [...]

Reading “The Tipping Point” as a Mother

Malcolm Gladwell’s “The Tipping Point” is a book I didn’t expect to read from a mother’s point of view.
Gladwell discusses the tipping point phenomenon and there are many things and theories salespeople could get and benefit reading his book. I am sure many reviews and critiques had been written about the author and this book. [...]

A Beautiful Day

With a 16-degree celsius weather this afternoon, hubby and I brought Little Dynamo to Yeouido Park. The man-made stream made our Little Dynamo’s day.

I guess, this marks the start of our afternoons outdoor:-).

He was so Proud of Me

We were playing with Little Dynamo’s train set last night. Suddenly, I asked him to build a tower out of the blocks. Whenever he was successful, I would say “I am so proud of you”. He would then destroy it and squeal with laughter.
Then he thought of putting the blocks on top of one of [...]

2008 Philippine Bar Exam Result

Excitement and anxiety have been surely building up today at Padre Faura in Manila. Across the nation (Philippines), the 2008 bar examinees might already be busy checking on the Supreme Court website.
While I was working with ACCRA, I was mesmerized when a 1997 (?) or 1998 (?) barrister, Macel Fernandez, was taken in by the law [...]
