War and Peace is loooooonnnnggg. understood nothing when i first read it... in high school. i skipped the war scenes. read it for the second time after college... appreciated the love story of natasha and bolkonsky. i thought it was sweet. on the third reading, i tried but failed to symphatize with pierre. he is not my hero. well, tolstoy didn't really picture him out to be dashing:-) as you ma have noticed, i love the love story part hehehe. read “Anna Karenina” once… in high school. so, i understood nothing hahaha… wish to have the time to re-read it. really, our understanding and appreciation of literature changes depending on the stages of our life.

Geez thats a long novel. Good for you. When i was in high school, i like reading Dickens and Hawthorne as well. I hope i will have time to read again their works.
