How To Get Back

I don’t just get mad. I get even. So, when the hubby enjoys the expat lifestyle of being here in Seoul and goes with the flow of binge drinking, what do I do? I savor every minute of long distance calls to the Philippines. Sweet revenge. I can’t wait for the next bill:-)

Winter-Ready Feet

We were expecting some snow today. And it did snow according to my husband. But when my son and I went out, it was drizzling. Spoiled fun. Anyhow, Little Dynamo’s feet is ready for winter already. We got him a new pair of boots last weekend:-)

“Fat” Anecdotes

Going to the playroom, we always pass by the gym. One time: Me: Can Mommy go to the gym while you play? Little Dynamo: Mommy fat.   Putting on his clothes: Me: Big tummy baby… fat, big tummy. Little Dynamo: Like Mommy.   Little Dynamo was looking at my picture in a two-piece bikinion my [...]

The Benefit of Being A Frequent Hotel Transient

Overseas development is my husband’s area. Needless to say, that brings him out of the country a lot of times. Instead of talking about the lonely nights, here’s one reason why my son loves to see his Dad coming home each time.  It is never hard to ask my Little Dynamo to have his bath. [...]

A Very Moving Blog

Since I started this blogsite, I was kidded by my husband as a blog addict. Truly, I am addicted to blogging that after my husband and my son snore I would get up from bed and continue writing or browsing through other sites. I do mostly dropping entrecards on other sites. Today, for some reason, [...]

Goodwill Begets Goodwill

I have mentioned in my blog “Corporate Daycares” that I volunteered to teach English to toddlers in my husband’s company. I begged off from continuing due to my schedule. Some toddlers come over my house for English toddler class, too. Anyway, I already stopped all classes this November as I am preparing for my month-long holidays [...]

Another Blog Award

I have to thank Modern Mommy for never forgetting me. She passed on to me another blog award… which I think speaks a lot about this blogging world. “This blog invests and believes, in ‘proximity’ [meaning, that blogging makes us 'close' - being close through proxy]. These blogs are all charming and they aim to [...]

Where Business and Alcohol Go Together

When I first came here (Korea) in 2006, my husband told me that refusing an offered drink is impolite. Even alcoholic drink. My saving grace? I was pregnant. I knew about this excessive Korean drinking habit back in the Philippines. My husband was with the company for five years before he was asked to come over. [...]

South Korea’s College Scholastic Ability Test

South Korea’s high school seniors took the College Scholastic Ability Test yesterday. The result of this test will determine their “future”. Koreans take too much importance on university education, most especially which university one graduates from. That is why, it is imperative for high school seniors to do very well on this exam. This is such [...]
